"Pretty lax on policies about working from home and on time off."

"If you're looking to get into research, start in research. If you're looking to get into sales, start in sales. It is VERY difficult to move horizontally despite what the recruiters tell you."

What don't you like about working at Forrester Research?

"It is nearly impossible to progress adequately through the company because there is no defined career track. Ambition and skill are not rewarded - there is a lot of hiring based on relationships rather than performance."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would be a lot more transparent and look for insights from employees rather than just tell them the plan and make them execute on ridiculous goals."

"Difficult to make progress and management does not often listen to staff. This feel is department dependent and can depend on the scope of work and needs of the department."

"negotiate at the top to the pay scale and give yourself plenty of credit for your experience, once you are on board there is not many opportunities for growth or raises. Pay raises are not merit based so be sure you can survive with the offer."

What don't you like about working at University of New Mexico?

"Again, dependent on department and manager. Some faculty feel that they need to micromanage because their name and reputation is on the face of the work but they do little to appreciate what staff do to make it all happen."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"As a large organization with many needs, this employer has a variety of departments with different demands and services. However, moral is low across the board because there is little say and justification for terrible budgets."

"The company became unreputable during the mortage crisis. I had a hard time not trying to help every single person I could."

"I would advise them to bring the moral of the comany back up by bringing back award ceremonies."
