"I worked for REI for seven years at two different locations. Hourly pay rate was standard for retail (i.e. low) but other perks were quite fantastic: fabulous discounts, excellent benefits, and spending each day with adventurous, outdoorsy co-workers."

"Great place to work! Amazing staff, and a great work environment that is incredibly supportive. Everyone there is not only looking to help you succeed at all of your goals, but to ensure that everyone is entitled to a life out doors. The things that REI does for the out door community is very inspirational as well, and makes you feel incredible for being a part of it."

"I have been with REI for over a year and have been able to move up a decent amount in that time. I love REI's mission statement but I don't feel that a lot of my peers, including some of my supervisors live up to the REI creed. As far as corporate jobs go, REI is the best and I hope to keep it as a part of my professional life for quite sometime. The hours can be a little slim since it is considered a part time job but the healthcare and work life balance make up for that."
