"I went into the NICU right out of school. Very hard not having all the skills, but I learned and stuck it out. Later worked with a Neonatologist at IRMC and she always called me to help, stated GaI knows what I want! made me feel good."

What do you like about working at Regional Medical Center?

"My job was to take the new hospital project from conception through design development and bid. I successfully completed that task. As far as the hospital organization was concerned, it was in disarray due to the consolidation of two hospitals into one. The problems caused problems with poor patient quality of healthcare which resulted in reduced revenues. There was a CEO change while I was there (the forth in six years) and over 400 layoffs."

"I have recommended not to."

"I did not like working there at all. The working environment was always very stressful."

"My suggestion would be to hire a competent CEO who knows how to manage all parts of the organization."

"The staff is excellent and the patients get great care. The company looks for ways to help the staff improve their skills and their professional lives. At the same time, they strive to keep a work/family balance."

"EIRMC is part of a larger hospital group. Sometimes the corporate offices make decisions that don't really match the hospital's location or values of the local population."

"Remember that the staff are there to do the best job they can. Support them in any way possible and they will do their best as well."
