"High intense trauma center, extensive education and growth benefits. Very stressful due to intensity of trauma."

"The high energy, education and opportunity"

"Extremely high trauma stress. Working in ICU was a great educational experience, however, nursing has long work hours with extensive turn around time. I encouraged counseling staff for high stress areas, was not implemented at that time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Not expect nurses to work more than 40 hours, monitor over time hours carefully. Encourage nurse to discuss and decompress stressful situations to avoid emotional burnout"
