"No special tips, they will need to be very familiar with trading flows."

"Commuting to company is over 100 miles for me. I need to work from home 2 days a week"

"none at this time. Management here gets the job done"

"the product is not very exciting and does little to stimulate employees"

"I am the management but I feel more managers should spend more time on the the floor more hands on"

What do you like about working at GKN Land Systems?
"The management team was very well unified. I was part of an economic layoff, so I didn't have a long tenure with the company."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"When the economy took a turn for the worse, I was left unemployed in a very remote area. Negotiate for relocation should you be terminated for any reason if the business unit is in a rural area."
What don't you like about working at GKN Land Systems?
"It was managed out of the UK which only took a mild interest in the business unit and when key decisions could have saved a lot of jobs, they were made 8000 miles away based purely on current econimic factors rather than the actual business climate and potential with existing business."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Trust the leaders at the business unit level and empower them to make key decisions based upon relationships and economic factors."

"The company has a culture of respecting people and provides them with relaxed environment. The free and big gym is a big plus in the company"

"Be prepare and learn about the company technologies and culture"

"As a big company, there is some level of bureaucracy."

"Management can improve the product quality by implementing realistic release plans."

"There are certain procedures that are missing that could cause delay in work flow."

"Assess the overall work flow in the organization and clarify and formalize specific procedures to ensure smooth work flow."

"Sad that Sr. Execs drove out over 50% of us Quality Mgrs in a year and half."
What do you like about working at Norgren?
"Co-workers (most of them...excluding upper management). Hours. Vacation. $25 Kroger Christmas gift card (yes, that's the Christmas bonus)"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Norgren is not a high tech company. More of a traditional general industry manufacturing business. Interviews are generally with one person and they look for experience and good communication skills."
What don't you like about working at Norgren?
"The company leadership is not skilled managers. Mostly people who work themselves into the position and are not people managers but followers of executive management. Also, the Senior Executive Management changes every few years and the new group that comes in has an agenda to make the BOD and Stockholders happy but their visions are not realistic and manageable."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Find good Sr. Executives who know how run Manufacturing. Get rid of the homegrown Managers."

"The people and company culture right up until they were purchased July 2012"

"Ask what they will be doing in 3 years. If they can't answer that then you have your answer as to your job security."

"Since the buyout, corporate beauracracy and politics are alive and well"

"Loyalty toward employees is essential in order to maintain quality employees"

"The people are completely amazing. I work with brilliant and funny people who come up with innovative solutions to interesting problems every hour. I am treated with respect and am empowered to make significant changes to the business."

"Be someone who likes challenges and is ready to try something new."

"Sometimes change can be difficult to enact, as there is a lot of comfort in our habits."

"I'd give the general manager a lot more power and control."
