"I disliked at the time, the lack of staffing, which made any down time sparse."

"Support your subordinates, don't overburden them, things will get done properly and faster when people are not overstressed."

"The variety of the work and working with both civilians and government officials of all level. I liked planning events, giving tours, going out into the community giving talks, maintaining speaker's bureau."

"Go for it. It is truly an adventure and if you're in the right position it could be a dream come true. If you choose to go in on an open contract it could be a nightmare."

What don't you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"Waking up with the rising sun to go on a 7 - 10 mile run."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The Marines manage themselves well but sometimes the work needs to be spread out for better time management. They have you rush to complete something and then you wait and wait for the next step."
