"Whiting-Turner is a loyal company with noble management in the Las Vegas office. They allowed new college graduates to have a great amount of work experience and responsibility. The personal work experience I gained in the Field and Office was truly appreciated."

"You have to prove you can be a reliable motivated worker. If you are that, they are a great company to work for."
What don't you like about working at Whiting-Turner?
"Nothing about Whiting-Turner was disliked. It was just a preference for me to work near Phoenix instead of Las Vegas at the time."

"None. They are missed."

"A project comes and goes fast so you can learn a lot if you are also fast and don't need a break."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Unless you have a written guarranty for a full time position; otherwise, it will end up much shorter then expected.After all things done, I feel that I should had waited a little bit longer to get a better job offer at other companies at beginning where a new engineer can have a proper mentorship for future growth. I am stuck with it for too long!"
What don't you like about working at Physical Optics?
"There is just very little time to finish the project. Basically, you are only allowed a couple of weeks to finish a 6 month project. Forget personal development while working here. Just work and work as much as you can, 12 hrs a day or more often. The upper management loves it. You don't see the sun during weekdays."

"Should find way to promote personal development or employees will run away if they have a chance."

"Fellow colleagues were cut from the same cloth and were great to work with. Depending on who your direct report was, most were understanding when it came to work and personal life dilemmas."

"It was very good experience. New products and processes to learn. The people were great."

"CTS still seems to be in 1942. Require long hours and they love to come into work late and leave later. Hard to balance personal and work life."

"I enjoyed the variety of work, and the work load was plenty to keep even the most ambitious busy."

"Be sure to negotiate for everything you can up front and be prepared to learn at a very fast pace."

"Due to the work load, it was very difficult to get assistance from other engineers if you ran into a problem that could not be resolved quickly."

"Be more open to a flexible schedule considering the level of travels and time restraints the projects place on engineers there."
