"Our group is under extreme pressure to stay in the black; our costs are pretty high so crossing the threshold is tough most months. This leads to a lot of pressure to stay billable and keep overhead expenses to a minimum. I kind of like the challenge, but I'd also like to buy some new tools to make my job easier."

"Encourage greater cross-communication between groups, move toward a service-based business model like our competitors, versus a purely product-based one."

"Far too much regulations and then the safety standards and procedures on top of it make it almost impossible to do everything right."

"I'd focus more on growing the company rather than increasing shareholder value"

"Not much to like about this company. It's just a job and that's about all."

"DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. There are far better engineering firms to work for that have much higher standards."
What don't you like about working at H.W. Lochner?
"This is a dishonest company. Management encourages falsification of time sheets in order to collect the entire fee available from clients. The company has a culture of questionable ethics and has very little intergrity."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Take management training. Management doesn't know how to empower employees and wants to hold a firm grip on everyone. Management also discriminates against employees who do not agree with unethical time sheet recording."

"The upper management generally allow you to do your job without micro managing."
