"The things I love about programming, I also hate about programming. It's easy to get lost in work and come out hours later feeling like you've time traveled into the future.Programming is fun, challenging, tangible and rewarding (with a side of creativity)."

Programmer at Professional Computing Resources

What do you like about working at Professional Computing Resources?

"I really love the people I work with. I've never worked in a place where everyone gets along. At PCR, everyone has a great sense of humor and it is a very comfortable work environment because of that."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be sure to familiarize yourself with PHP and the Zend Framework. JQuery experience is a plus."

What don't you like about working at Professional Computing Resources?

"I feel that the company takes on more work than it can handle and the end result is poorer service to our customers. The company has been able to retain the same managers for many years so there is also no room for advancement."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Revise the business model so that the support we offer our customers is scalable while maintaining the ability to earn a profit."

Programmer at Driessen

What do you like about working at Driessen?

What don't you like about working at Driessen?

"Up until the buyout, I found the company to offer most of the opportunities I desired. That is why I stayed there 23 years."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I realize that in business making a profit is bottom line, but realizing that your employees are the ones who help you achieve that goal should weigh heavily in decisions to downsize."
