What do you like about working at Value Village?
"The work is hard and the hours are long so you get a good opportunity to bond with your coworkers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be wary of a company that doesn't let you leave the building when you stop in to check on you application. They are usually desperate to hire."
What don't you like about working at Value Village?
"They start production and operations team members at minimum wage and they usually get less than a quarter raise at their one year review which makes it very hard to keep good people."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don't blow off suggestions from employees, they are looking to make the place better not just cut into your profits."

What do you like about working at Cargill?
"Open positions are posted internally and they're willing invest in training to the right candidates. My location has a relaxed atmosphere. Many other locations do not."

"Find out what your salary band is ahead of time. Don't think HR and Accounting have your best interests in mind."
What don't you like about working at Cargill?
"They keep salaried employees at or just below the 25% for their job band. Lack of work life balance. Senior management does not protect its employees, but chooses to hide behind policies and catch phrases."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Protect all employees, not just the ones you are worried will sue. Quit overlooking your top performers. Pay based on job performance."

"Nice area, Decent benefits, Free Coffee/Tea, Cafeteria, and good parking."

"Just say no Thankyou. H/R needs to be replaced with new people."

"Politics, Lack of work, Lots of gossip, No team direction."

"Need new accounts or move us all to Nashviile, Tenn. Cannot run a business with people doing nothing."

"The steady paycheck and easy workload. The company has been losing business so work stress has been low."

"Just don't even apply unless your desperate for a job. The worst H/R management."

"Constant getting rid of people through layoffs and not laying off Sr Directors and above who are making the big money doing nothing. They dont need all these Directors especially when your letting the people who are working hard go."

"Get rid of Sr Directors and VP's that are not effective."

"It's pretty loud on the production floor so, I don't have to talk to many employees."

"Don't show up! I would not have stayed if I had a choice."

"No latitude to improve production with current budgets. Always working on broken old equipment the needs to be replaced."
