"Reward is always a matter of how much sweat you are willing to put into your work. A consortium is a free structure, there are lots of upsides but also a lot of seasonal coming and going. When you work at Got SOA?, you are in charge, which also means that you have to do everything, including some accounting chores and writing your invoices and following up with clients beyond the call of duty. It's empowering."

"I love the fact that the company allowed colleagues to learn a different industry while working on projects from different sectors. This allows the colleagues to become more diverse and marketable when he/she decides to move forward with their careers. What I hated about the position was how the clients would look down on the colleagues like they worked for them. Granted, colleagues on assignments would work at the client site but they did not work from the client. They were there as consultants not employees of the company. Sometimes, clients would go to the extreme left because they thought that the consultant was assigned to the project which in turn makes it seems as if it was a manager/employee relationship which was certainly not the case. Some projects, the client would treat us and talk to us like we were not professional and didn't realize why we were there in the first place."

"Being a lead to sales and project delivery. Usually, all the escalations stop at my door before moving into the management. I usually get invitations from senior management as to the strategic directions of the company, what products/services the company should sell."

"Being enabled to exceed set business expectations and personal goals is paramount. Sales and technical resources really strive to manage and reach expectations to meet deadlines and to put customers first despite being at a disadvantage due to amateur corporate management and being over-extended."
