Your job satisfaction must come from work/engagement with people with developmental disabilities. It won't come from decent pay, great benefits, creative environment, or recognition from management of great work you do."

"communication throughout the organization was terrible. no prior planning or preparation done for the contract work I did. not good at matching staff skills with needs. not good at matching resources with needs. pissy employees. difficult to build work relationships. not a lot of employee camaraderie. salary not matched with skills required of the position. either micromanaged or completely disengaged management styles. no staff development initiatives. many long-term employees who bring no enthusiasm to the environment. Not enough creative thinking."
