"Tendency to be invisible to upper management. Issues with immediate manager may have to be ignored."

"Varies with person, less control will bring about best in employees."

"There wasn't much, as a former Sun employee the two companies culture couldn't be more opposite."

"I can't think of any reason why someone would want to work for this company."

"Not sure where to start. Decisions on staffing and the bold lies about the future are top on my list."

"Quit worrying about saving your skin and concentrate on providing excellent service to your customers."

"Work closely with creative people to faster decision and implementation. I really enjoy helping people, and when I see the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life, I take the initiative."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Seek for someone who fixes processes, not people. This has been the most effective leadership concept in my career. I have been trying to change people (including my bosses) but I found out that the only person I can change is myself. You cannot expect to be successful at changing people behavior, but you can change the process, remove obstacles and come up with the best acceptable processes that people will commit to."

What don't you like about working at Oracle?

"Working with people who are not motivated and dedicated or easily distracted from the big picture."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Create a culture of trust, and empower the teams. Obviously to succeed with a culture of trust, you have to give ownership by empowering your teams to get results. Doing so increases productivity and motivation. Let the team decide how they will deliver the expected results. They have ownership and hence are accountable (Agile and Iterative Product Development advocate)."

"it is a great company to work for, they push the envelope on productivity everyday."

"The majority of the staff was ninety percent women, very few men in the office I was located."

"Hire a more diverse work force, staffing up with an equal male to female ratio is always nice."

"It is the right pace for the DBA consulting world here in the mid Atlantic."

"My mentors, manager and the whole team were very helpful. It was a great practical experience for a student freshly out of college."

"It is a great company and there's a lot to learn if you give it your best."

"I had to work under five different people, for five different projects. If I was working on task A one moment, another mentor would ask me to work on their project immediately as it was high priority."

"Better communication among employees and better scheduling of work for interns."

"Great work and personal life balance. Good management promoting work ideas and quality."

"Be strong and confident, need to have good work samples, however as long as one is sincere, all is great."

"Compensation is not very good. It is very low compared to market standards. Career growth is very slow."

"Increase compensation at least to match the market standards. Talents should be allowed to grow quick enough and not let them be wasted."

"I did not get along with the upper Management every seince they move my group around and my new Manager was not a understanding person."
