"Navis has great people, but provides no real room for a long term career."

"The day to day challenges associated with the job, the industry in which Navis is based, and the people with whom I worked."

"Due to the fact that Navis is just a smaller company, be aware that there are no benefits, pay may be low compared to larger companies in the industry, and there are not many opportunities for advancement. If you are satisfied in a smaller environment however, you may be happy here."

"The long term career opportunities were unfortunately not there."

"Due to the size of the company, there is not much I can say as far as recommending a solution to my problem with the lack of long term career opportunity. The management did a great job of running the company."

"They promote from outside and not within."

"Sears seemed to stand behind their products, but then again I was the ultimate decision maker and most often worked with the customer to insure satisfaction. Other managers didn't feel empowered, I suppose."

"Be prepared for long hours, an unrealistic bonus structure, and a frustrating relationship with your district and region managers."
What don't you like about working at Sears?
"For sure, I disliked the stereotypical old school management, from the district manager on up. There was lots of dead weight up there! They could trim 20% of his upper management starting with Hoffman Estates and never miss a beat... word. Listen to your local market and store staff managers. They know their markets."

"Start with an early retirement package for the old wood. They're standing in the way of the new business process and are connected to the old school schmooze methodology of decision making."
