1.1Do your business a favor and outsource your web development and maintenance areas. The current staff is full of old-timers who do not have the skills or drive to move your business forward on the web. There is no leadership in this department and change is seen as a threat. As the business grows, competitors are going to eat your lunch with regards to web capabilities. Customers demand better, and not being able to deliver will be your downfall.
3.5Overall OneAmerica is a good company; it is a small company new to the Disability industry in South Portland. Currently, there is not a lot of growth opportunity provided to internal candidates. Leadership tends to move people into positions that are not always posted for others to apply.
3.6My background includes serving as a long-term disability claims examiner and risk manager. Most recently, I worked as a senior claims examiner for OneAmerica, where my responsibilities included handling claim decisions, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Previously, I worked within two high-volume insurance companies. In these positions, I demonstrated the ability to resolve a variety of issues and make fair and accurate claims decisions.
In addition, I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelors degree in economics.
