"Newark has great lines & great products for customers, but very inconsistent in their pricing structure."

"My co-workers both inside & outside, my territory of customers, my then overall compensation though Newark changed the plan every year taking money out of our pockets, by lowering the multiplier on our commission. Overall, it's a good company with great products, but constantly changing things up when they are working fine, thus upsetting the customers & ultimately losing business."
What don't you like about working at Newark Electronics?
"The constant changes they come up with, the compensation plan changes for their benefit, not the reps. The lack of communication & planning of meetings, webinars, etc. for Field Sales Reps. who have scheduled customer appointments that need to be cancelled last minute. Management that doesn't listen to the sales team, both inside & outside. Asking sales for input & suggestions, & then never implementing any of them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep your Good Outside Account Managers that are shipping high dollars, & bringing in new opportunities & business! Rather than lay good reps off all over, consider altering their pay in a fair way, so it's a win/win for all."

"I enjoyed the interaction with my sales team, customers and manufacturer reps. I also welcomed new opportunities for growth and have a hunter mentality so there was plenty of product and contact penetration potential."

"Unfortunately, the company didn't value to the one-to-one relationship between sales rep and customer and ultimately I was replaced with a web site."

"I think that they should have strategized differently on how they made their business model decisions."

"It had very positive atmosphere to work at. I learned a lot of for the short period that I had worked there."

"Just be yourself. The managers are very understanding that you might not know everything on the first day."

"The pay wasn't enough. Considering it was my first job after graduating, felt like there was plenty of room for advancement."

"II liked that was recgonized for doing good work. I liked I was trusted enough to be able to be part of a work at home program and the flexibility I was given. I liked I had challenging projects to work on. I really liked being part of a team that dealt with all levels of management and employees."

"You need to be willing to be very flexible."
What don't you like about working at Newark Electronics?
"At a position level, Newark didn't really embrace a training model unless there was time and budget. If sales weren't going strong - training stopped. I don't enough investment was done both in better training for the trainers and better training options for the sales staff."
