"I have worked for New York Life through APAC Customer Service for a few years now. My learning experience has been awesome. I learned easily to do my job with a very high level of skill, thanks to the teamwork among my coworkers. I have had a hard time moving up in the company though. The team leaders tend to play favorites regardless of a skill level or who have gone above and beyond. It's a great entry point but not good for advancement within the company."
"I have worked for NYLIC, it was my very good experience."
"I have worked for New York Life for over 4 years. Great company and great training platform."
"I have worked for NYL for 10+ years and they are a good company that preaches how they are client first and agent focused but that is not true unless you are in the top 5% of producers. I have called the ethics of my particular GO into questions a number of times."
"It was a great experience for me."
"My opinion on the company is excellent. The company is more focused on maintaining its brand. Employs over 5,000 people, and gives good benefits. Company can do better by diversifying its marketing strategy."
"Strong company going to the redrsign of their technology and software."
"Be on time, always! NYL has zero tolerance for anything!! This company is probably decent, but it really sucks to work for them! The office at Metro Park in Dublin, OH (Columbus suburb) is a JOKE. The new head office manager is from the NYC office and he is evil! He hates new employees....and has zero tolerance for being late!! I was 10 minutes late to meet him, and he just left... end of story for me. Stay away from NY Life! Ludicrous company is an understatement of the day!!"
"I worked very hard for 13+ years. Besides my job responsibilities, always I was asked to back up different departments, mentor students, travel to other campuses for work no one else wanted. I always complied with such requests no matter how long my day became. Technology helped in their decision to push me out the door."
"NYL is a great company for brokers/sellers... and then there's corporate. In summation it was a great company to work for. 2 years from now it will be again. That said currently they are going through a reorg and are alienating their newer employees by eliminating opportunity and growth."
"I have worked for a fortune 500 Company whereas, I gained a lot of financial skills and experiences. While I was working there, I have earned Career Life Success Award for my good work and effort. I also learned a great deal of teamwork and how to get alone with others in order to increase the company's profit. In addition, I learned how to be better organized and better planning my work day."
"NY Life is a great place to work, but it's just the project I am on. Not too much tools, and no motivation to automate."
"Only issue with this particular company is that we are a one-off from corporate. We are being outsourced to the Main office in New York."
"I have worked with New York Life for around 3+ years now. I am happy to take the next step."
"New York Life is a great company to work for. Great training and even better to be surrounded by."
