"If you're not good at politics, don't bother. IBM attracts all the mean-spirited A and B kids out of college and they are ruthless and ambitious. Working at IBM is like swimming with the sharks."

"If you are seeking a 40/hour (only) per week job with lots of stability, some challenge, and little/no stress, but also glacial career growth and a lower than average salary UTSWMC is right for you."

"Salaries were quite low compared to market, technologies used lagged private industry, job growth limited by people who planned to retire there and stayed in a given role 10 years."
