Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Sad to say, only take a job here if you can't find another one. A lot of internal system problems with lost productivity. Very little in-house promotion in management-it's routinely brought from outside. Has great potential, but way off the mark now."

What don't you like about working at National CineMedia?

"Systems/Programs are inadequate to handle growth with daily breakdown and outages. Refusal to explore other programs even though some of theirs are clearly not working. They just keep pouring $$ into bad programs. Sub average pay with high turnover. Some management does run by intimidation. Management has little communication with teams. High level executives have little handle on day to day functions or problems and therefore change doesn't happen, i.e. systems, turnover"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get an outside pro team to review systems. Have high level execs more involved in day to day and/or more communicating at all levels. Way too much cushion/space between execs and managers. Fiefdom mentality. NCM could slightly increase pay and reduce high turnover & increase loyalty. Great company potential, but growing way too fast! Too many fire drills."

What do you like about working at National CineMedia?

"They pay reasonably well - competitive with the industry and they provide bonuses at the end of the year."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Always keep other options open; there are not too many long-timers that are still working there (outside of the management group)."

What don't you like about working at National CineMedia?

"Management has no clue what they are doing; they operate by reaction instead of being proactive. They also like to create an environment of fear and use intimidation tactics."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Create an atmosphere of creative thinking and encourage more of a positive working environment. Then there won't be such a high level of employee turnover."

"Don't go there if you're in national meetings sales."

What don't you like about working at National CineMedia?

"Top management hasn't a clue about what they're doing in the meeting and events arena. No one in top management has ever worked in the meetings and events industry nor have they worked in satellite broadcast. They're flying by the seat of their pants. Throwing ideas up on the wall to see if it sticks. NCM doesn't offer a total event solution to any clients, only the delivery end. So basically as a salesperson I had to say Hey, we have these incredible venues and satellite delivery when and if you have a production that you want to deliver. The client must come up with their own program production which means they have to work with more than one vendor. It's the tail wagging the dog. Price is high and unaffordable only if the client has very large audiences. They're in trouble with only a few clients keeping them afloat."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Top management (CEO)needs to get people in place with experience in satellite broadcast of live events and meetings."
