"Things have changed since new CEO"
"I have been working at Micron Technology for the last 6 years. As a company, Micron has a mix of good and bad. It comes usually with a good work life balance on the other side growth and compensation options are quite limited. It can be fast paced depending on your area of work."
"Not quite the best place to work, but still a decent workplace overall. Most of my coworkers are good people. Trying to do more with less people and resources may be a good thing sometimes, but only up to a point."
"I worked for Micron for 20 years. It was a rewarding job. Over time, however, the culture changed within Micron and it is no longer one that promotes growth for its employees."
"I worked for Micron since 2015. The corporate culture is changing, especially in Boise. Hopefully, it will be for the good eventually, but currently engaging in poor decision making. The opportunity to work up from operator to director is long gone. Who knows if Micron will exist in Boise in 5 years."
What do you like about working at Micron Technology?
"The work I did. The opportunity to learn new product."
What don't you like about working at Micron Technology?
"The politics of the place. The way management treated people at times."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Reward work, not friendships. Sometime managers rewarded friends over the people who actually did the work."
"It is okay. I would only recommend those who are new to the industry."
"I've worked with Micron for about 4 years now. Overall its a good company to work for, though there are a few decisions made by management that I do not agree with."
"I've worked for Micron for 10 years. At times it has been a good experience. However there is certainly a "good ole boy" network there. It is nearly impossible to move up or have any effect on your earning potential unless you play politics. The company does a good job at trying to take care of their employees, but sometimes it feels like golden handcuffs. Paid just enough that you cannot afford to leave."
