"Learn about the position and company. Merck is filled to the rim with talent, do your best to blow interviewers away by showing legitimate interest in the company and position."

"Despite all the changes the company has made since acquiring Schering-Plough, the company still feels like 2 separate companies. On one side we have Legacy Schering-Plough and on the other the Legacy Merck. From speaking with Legacy SP employees I have determined that they still feel like they got the short end of the stick and should just be happy they still have job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"In the end, everything we do is driven to increase profit (at least that's the feeling I get when hearing our VP, director, and my supervisor talk)... at all (legal) cost! I'd like to see us focusing more on our employees and most importantly, our customers!"

"The owners of the company were openly feuding and it was difficult if not impossible to get anything done. They were also living off the cash flow - their financial position is weak."

"Their personal problems of the owners need to be resolved.They also had only 1 customer and a sales staff not incented to extend the client base"

"The people here are very dry and they do not have personalities. There is no work and life balance, it is all work. I wish I had more hands on experiences instead of just paper work."

"Not being an employee. I would have liked the chance to stay there after my two year contract expired."
