"First, I am no longer working for METRO. What I did like while I was there were the people. I had some excellent supervisors and was given the chance to basically change careers without changing employers."

"Best tip - be aware that METRO is a government agency and not a corporation and as such is often restricted due to compliance for funding and other legal requirements."
What don't you like about working at Metropolitan Transit Authority?
"The biggest negative impact was the budget. There never seemed to be enough money to properly market METRO's services."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There needs to be less management and more trust in the worker bee ranks. The board of directors need to oversee the larger picture and not be involved in the day-to-day operations."

"I enjoyed growing the company ,hiring the employees, and training them to excel with the company."

"You must be a hardworker and serious about growing the company."

"I truely enjoyed my time with the company I have no complaints."

"I have no suggestions for the owner. She did an amazing job."

"I am a great fit for the job so it comes easy to me. It's a pretty flexible work environment as well."

"Be on your game - they require you to know your stuff and conduct a top-grading interview."

"The growth opportunity is just not there. There's also a lot of workplace politics."

"To create more growth opportunities. To minimize the workplace politics (if at all possible) and reward people based on work done versus friendships."

"Have no control of my work flow and lack of communication."

"Stay to 1 plan and trust people. They are trying to make the best job ever."

"Impeccable communication from upper management. Fantastic, collaborative co-workers. Regional Corporate offices are actually in Phoenix, which makes communication and team-building efforts even easier."

"Be a team-player, energetic and willing to work weekends and holidays. It is a fantastic company to work for, if you are willing to pay the price."

"Forget your life as you know it, it will all be about work. There is no balance."

"There is a lot of redundancy in the numerous reports requested. Overlapping deadlines are the norm."

"Some of my coworkers were nice, honest people. Others were self serving."

"DONT!!!Stay far away as possible and don't be fooled by their outer appearance."
What don't you like about working at DME Holdings?
"Executives not in touch with the real working world.No management support.Most hiring promises never kept.Treatment of employees was very poor.Air conditioning rarely worked properly.Changed people's positions and salaries with no consultation...they made the decision, then told you. If you didn't like it, you were told to go elsewhere.They're the type of employer that knows the economy is bad, and with no local opportunities that they have you over a barrel and take advantage of the situation.There will be a mass exodus."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Bring in an outside firm to evaluate your poor management style.Take a long look in the mirror and realize how many lives and you're making miserable.Don't pretend you're a family company, you're just one of many disfunctional family run organizations."

"I have my own office, and enjoy my roll as inside sales manager. Also, I have a great boss."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest about the rate of pay, benefits and what is expected out of the position. With the proper tools to get the job done right."
What don't you like about working at Software Decisions ?
"The team is not cohesive and my proposal are not getting out in time and they are following up with my prospects and not letting me know. Therefore, when I call them again it is very annoying to the prospect and I lose a sale due to it. Also, I've set appointments that get ignored and no one on my team will let me know what's going on in the office while I'm trying to figure out who's going on the appointment. very frustrating."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They get it together pay me my commission that is owed to me. and stop not answering the phone call when they know there is an appointment to run."

"The variety of duties and responsibility. The potential as marketing and technology become intertwined. It's an exciting time."
What don't you like about working at Cork-Howard Construction Company?
"The culture has become poor due to a lack of direction/vision and the rough times in our industry. Instead of bonding together as a team, people become fearful and territorial, making it more challenging to work together/get things done. There is minimal support on incentives and initiatives and little cmmunication regarding expectations; this makes it difficult to know when or if the work produced is hitting the target."

"Provide open communication and a vision of where the company is and where it is going. Encourage good behavior, eliminate bad behavior. Do what's right because it's the right thing to do. Create an open and collaborative environment - especially in difficult and challenging times. Communicate, communicate, communicate. Be open, honest, and transparent."

"Work with great individuals and most importantly be able to work in my desired industry of interest in gaming."

"Not to many complaints. Only concern is the size of the startup and the availability of resources."

"Since we were so new, I was able to create a position that focused on the areas of marketing that I enjoyed most. I was able to focus on the company website, our eblasts and all collateral materials that involved our brand."

"You must have a passion for the work of our organisation. The compensation at a non-profit will not match the same position in a for-profit company, so you must truly believe in our mission."

"That due to recent transitions there may not be any room for growth in the marketing department."

"I enjoy an open door policy with my managers, it is important to me to have a close working relationship with my direct supervisor."

"Understand that nepotism and 'good old boy' culture runs rampant. Promotions will come but occur only when people retire or leave."

"I have a ton of flexibility to do what I want, but that can make it challenging to understand the specific accomplishments that lead to promotion"
