"After closing Dakota Accessories, where I was always travelling, I wanted a job where I worked out of one location. The company's starting salary was $1,500 per month. The rest you had to earn through commissions. I was fortune enough to be able to within a few months make between $12,000 to $17,000 per month in commissions. However, the company was run very poorly. The atmosphere was awful and the leadership at the top were amateurs.So I only stayed one year to start my own business."

"Bait and switch type operation. Primitive sales process. Minimal computerization. Massive and constant staff turnover."

"Get computerized fully by developing a sophisticated relational/hierarchical database on which all employees should document their sales activities! Cut out the bait and switch tactics. This company should be a good operation based on their producat and management team, but they are operating as if we are still in the 1970s!"

"Only take a job with Marcus Evans if you are in desperate need of employment. Base Salaries are only $2k per month gross plus any commissions you earn. Commissions are also held for payment once per month as well."

"The unprofessional treatment of employees by upper management and supervisors alike."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Treat people with respect and as the adults they are and performances will improve dramatically. The strict minimum phone time required per day is counter productive and will cause the company's demise."
"A horribly run company - the upper management (CEO) was a nepotistic appointment and is completely incompetent."

"The structure. Very poor products that are misrepresented to their clients/prospects. EXTREMELY hard selling tactics that become comical when prospects have heard it 100+ times before."

"Hire a management consulting firm to gut and replace management. Marcus Evans has a very profitable business model that is being under-utilized."
