"Direct manager and direct co-workers are great. Job responsiblities are challenging and rewarding. Learned and developed many skills."

"Most managers are up front and honest however you may have some that restrict certain to ask questions. Be sure to ask questions and be clear and honest with your strenghts and weeknesses."
What don't you like about working at St. Luke's Episcopal Health System?
"Decision Makers' motives are questionable. Culture has shifted negatively since new upper management. Absorbed by new department and forced to support ancillary applications with minimal or no training. It keeps us busy but I am concerned about the quality of support we are providing. Not the fault of direct manager but that of the directors. Flex days were taken away with no real justification."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Restructure the CAS Team responsibilities depending on their original specialty subject matter. Need to separate Pharmacy and ancillary applications from Medical Imaging applications such as PACS, CPACS, RIS, CVIS. Supporting all of these applications between 7 analysts seems farfetched and degrades quality of knowledge of support for the respective subject matter of the individual."

"Chance to work with the biggest mainframes and IBM systems."

"Make sure you don't mind the number of layers above you."

"Could never get buy-in to take a project further than current investigations."

"Talk to the people in the trenches and find out what they are doing."

"Love your work, be punctual with time and resources. It would be nice to have agile software development experience."

"At times I felt that, we can use resources more efficiently than the way we are using it right now."

"Use resources more efficiently, use MS project tools to efficiently use and track resources. As it is so much important while working on large number of projects to efficiently track the progress of projects."

"I did not like on-call responsibilities for applications that I had not been trained in."

"Management should have not kept chasing the latest and greatest technologies and concentrated more on standards."
