"If you want to do noble work with great people. This is the place. Just be ready to overlook the physical environment and antiquated tools and processes."

What don't you like about working at Kansas State University?

"Very old building. Poor lighting, ventilation, restrooms. Bad location. Expensive parking.Outdated work tools. No electronic collaboration tools. No teleconferencing tools."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep doing the amazing work you are doing. Respect the employees enough to move somewhere else. The building was a car dealership that should have been bulldozed when it was damaged by the tornado in 1966!"

"Management appears to lack understanding of what is going on in the front lines of the company."

"Show up on the floor at least once a week and talk to front line employees. Watch out for employees who are too domineering."

"Budget cuts every year and don't know which project gets cut first."

"Not a lot to say about DOD contracts but once contract ended so does all the good people."

"Even with all of our modern tools in IT today (IM, video conferencing, toll bypass, etc...) upper management still has the mindset of needing all people centralized at the corporate office."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get out of the corporate office and visit the locations and really understand how CMC generates revenue."

"Be yourself, and ask questions. KentuckyOne is a great organization to work at, and there is a huge need for inquisitive people with fresh new ideas and questions."

"I didn't like the uncertainty that came along with the merger. There was a lack of communication, but this was easily"

"Communicate effectively to your team members. There is not much that could have been done where the merger is concerned, but post all merger activities, communicate to keep up the moral."
