What do you like about working at FMC Technologies?
"Worked for a sub-division. The company supported DoD programs. I oversaw the technology components of the various programs. The company gave me the lattitude to see opportunities and supported me as I grew into the position."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Think conservatively."
What don't you like about working at FMC Technologies?
"When FMC spun United Defense off, the culture and the dynamics changed to an ultra conservative company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"FMC/United Defense was procured by BAE. BAE has been trying to centralize many of their technology initatives. It is difficult sell to the government and creates a barrier to nimbleness and growth."

"Don't go into the military unless you want to BE IN THE MILITARY. And unless you're sure you want to be in Communications, don't put it anywhere on your dream sheet."

"Not enough technical positions."

"Quit hiring comm officers that have never touched a computer. They need a technical degree."

"You will be expected to go above and beyond your job description which is alright. You will work hard. It's not easy and you will not get recognition for your efforts."

"Job insecurity. No one knows when they're going to on a another round of layoffs. I'm sure it's like that all over and not just Bay Point."

"Try to be a little more sensitive to workers needs and opinions."

"There was a great need to coordinate the support teams around the US and Canada. I used weekly video conferencs and daily status calls toward successfully accomplishing that goal."

"Avoid this company at all costs, especially if they have an IT background."

"My management team was anything but a management team."

"Pay closer attention to what is ACTUALLY happening with their support operation."

"This marketing company was a juggernaut at its height."
What do you like about working at Seismicom?
"Young crowd, lots of creative buzz, energetic community. Seismicom was like a dot.com on steroids. They were a small business that acted big in every respect."
What don't you like about working at Seismicom?
"Unfortunately, the economic collapse crushed client marketing investing across the industry. Seismicom suffered just like every other Advertising firm in the US. Faced with short revenues, the company shuttered after a 9 year run."
