"Be decisive and display a sense of fairness. The Service likes decision makers that do the right thing. Overzealous sells well with a few but in a job where you will ultimately have a great deal of power you need to have balance."

"Some managers are a poor fit to their job. Mid and upper level management is slow to admit a mistake and very slow in making necessary changes."

"Because we're part of Government we do move with the political winds. I think a little more resistance to this issue would provide both employees and the public with the fact that we are here year in and year out to fairly apply the law to all citizens"
