"The problems are different every day. So the uncertainty of the upcoming day can be stressful. However, the challenge of solving problems timely and efficiently is fulfilling."
"There is nothing I hate about it. Inventory control is a good position to learn warehouse logistics and operations."
"I loved that management let us lead rather then dictating how we should run. His take on it was we know how things need to run and he trusted we would get the job done. In return we wanted to prove him right and we didn't disappoint."
"I enjoy the freedom to perform the job, unfortunately it took a month to receive proper clock clearance and computer access, along with 6 weeks before actually receiving the tools, training, to perform the duties. The job is a gateway position that allows for information in vast company outlets, however the management of personnel is grossly discouraging if in the materials division."
"I love being able to work with my hands, and I like fixing issues. I pride myself on being a good problem solver and I don't give up until I fix it. The only thing I can say I dislike about it is when people keep messing up the same things over and over even after you have taught them the right way just because it is not their job to fix it."

"Don't come here ever unless you want to be degraded and fired"

"The fact that we are underpayed over worked and treated as slaves"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To come down to our level and work with us and not make all the decisions without input and stop hiring from the street with no experience if your not willing to put in the time"

"The people I work with, the environment, the convenience of the commute, and the decent wages."

"Tips for interviewing with this company would be to know how to do math, have some knowledge of how a warehouse runs, and be willing to work in a face paced environment."
What don't you like about working at AmeriCold Logistics?
"The difficulties it takes to get promoted, the fact that there is a cap on your salary after your first year unless you get promoted, and the limited options on scheduling."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestion for management would be to give raises based on time with the company, offer safety bonuses, and get rid of the incentive program and rather offer raises based on productivity rather than pay everyone the same rate when there's those who have been there for 5 years and get paid the same as someone who has been there 1 year. This would help retention and get rid of the current turn-over rate."

"I enjoyed the actual tasks of the position although the workload with unevenly and illogically distributed among the office staff."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Skip it unless you want to be unhappy and have no future at a company. seriously the only good thing about the company was the healthcare plan."
What don't you like about working at Ethan Allen?
"The people were petty and management operated via fear. No trust. Dishonesty at management level and could not question or even make suggestions. Poor to non-existent training."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"For upper management - take a close look at who you have in place at the local level. Just because someone has been there and has certain skills doesn't mean they have any skills to manage. For local management - get some training or at least read something about how to manage and train. showing someone is not the same as training. Fear and threats is not management. Don't hire your friends and friends of friends."

"I feel like the only thing that I like are the benefits."

"I have no freedom. I was given freedom and now it's taken away."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would actually pay more attention to the retail and try to do what they think works."

"I like my team, my coworkers, the company as a whole, the technology, and the benefits."

"Don't do it. And if you do, choose your particular store carefully."

"Managers are ineffective and unintelligent. We're treated like sheep. There's no logic or rationality, and no room for advancement or promotion."

"Invest more money in employees. Have better pay, more freedom, and more choices."
