"I've worked for IBM sine 2017. I learn many things bout hardware components and software of server rack infrastructure. I have set up racks and tear down racks due to decommissioning data centers."

"I am now a tenured employee of IBM. IBM has many of the iconic attributes that have framed the storied history of this fabled company. Unfortunately, many missteps over the past 10 years have resulted in a muted aggregate effort. Client and partner intimacy has been sorely neglected. Couple this with challenges on the key strategic areas of focus (Cloud, AI, Systems, Blockchain) and you end up with a very large, respected giant that is struggling to regain its footing in the rapidly changing IT market."

"The best thing about working at IBM is the wide variety of technologies I've been able to work on within the same company. While my primary expertise is in databases, I've also developed a web client and backend server, worked in file systems, Linux development, and storage solutions. All of this has given me the chance to gain experience in a variety of development areas. Key areas I have the most experience in are high availability, recovery, and clustering. I've also had many opportunities to hone my favorite professional hobby, automation. Many people see this as a necessary but boring and evil task but I think it's a great place to apply the same software engineering principles put into commercial products."

"I was part of the IBM acquisition of Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Acquisitions are always a scary time, but IBM provided significant support and resources with their onboarding teams. I have never worked for a company that has offered as many training resources either."

"IBM is a large company that has the customers needs first and everything else second. They used to treat their employees as valuable assets. Over the past decade, things have changed considerably and employees are treated more like names on a spreadsheet and not as individuals anymore."
