"IBM was an amazing stepping stone personally for a career in technology, especially for someone without a college degree. That said, the strategy IBM has employed thus far of snapping up promising tech products and running them into the ground with excessive management and bureaucracy has been ruinous."

"It's a corporate environment with those kinds of issue. Even as a manager you will realize that you are a very small cog in a huge machine that really doesn't need or care about you. Other than that the people I worked with, the satisfaction of solving customer issues and getting the job done on a daily basis is highly fulfilling to me."

"I worked for IBM for 5 years. I was always willing to work hard. I do not fully understand the circumstances around what happened and had a very difficult time recovering from whatever it was. I feel that maintaining connections, staying current in the industry and keeping a good reputation are all extremely important."

"The company needs to innovate both internally and externally. The company is very top-heavy and leadership dictates roadmaps vs customers and the market. There are some great people here but unfortunately, they get silenced by 30 year IBMers easily."
