"treat people with respect. increase wages, give raises and incentives"
What do you like about working at Finisar?
"My boss gives me the opportunity to try new projects. I like my co-workers, I like ths scope of my responsibilties. Senior management is very involved with day to day. As long as you are doing a good job you get recognized."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you don't misrepresnt yourself on resume. The questions are very technical. It is a long day where candiates meet all level of staff from hiring mgr, to peers to Sr. level mgmt. When possible even GM. Once hired there is a real sense of team."
What don't you like about working at Finisar?
"The building is ugly, and there isn't enough time off for experienced new hires leaving tenured jobs"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Either increase PTO or move to a Vacation and sick time policy or allow employees to purchase additional time."
What do you like about working at Ohio State University?
"The campus, school spirit, I was an undergrad there so I have fond memories, learning environment"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I think OSU would be great to work for if you were a coach or professor, other than that they really don't find value in other occupations. Good luck."

"My boss is old school, unflexible, not challenging enough, paper pusher, too large, they do not respect employees that are not professors,"

"Learn new management techniques and get up to date with the times."
