Case Manager

"Can be fun, but no one should have to deal with that kind of toxic environment."

What do you like about working at Housing Works?

"Fun co-workers. Interesting and challenging clients and work, and depending on your boss, a casual/ informal environment."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It can be a fun place to work at times, but.... proceed with caution."

What don't you like about working at Housing Works?

"Management can be abusive and un-skilled, at times unethical. The agency was founded by a drug user, and drug use is rampant not just among clients but staff as well. This makes working there very difficult at times (to say the least). Not all of the staff are very professional, even higher level staff."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Separate the locus of control/ power from the CEO and become more like a regular non-profit with a meaningful board, etc. Don't pander to abusive managers or encourage them."
