"HDR is an excellent large company. Young engineers could make a good career, older engineers have some restrictions in utilizing their experience and expertise. Multiple offices and many sectors make the company very professional."

"HDR is heavily engaged in doing work with the government, so it can be a little frustrating as nothing ever goes fast and schedules can be meaningless. So, if you know this going in, it will help. I'm currently working on another big project and it helps knowing that efficiencies are bad and one must budget for that (time and money). HDR's emphasis is on providing heaper labor at the risk of more qualified labor, and that often impacts the quality of the final work product, which can be frustrating as well. One must just try and manage it."

"The way the company sought to create a working environment that made the employees like doing their jobs. They also were very proactive in creating social activities and extracurricular events for employees to participate in."
