"Treat your staff as equals who work hard and they will shock you every day. Little rewards such as kind words can make mountains move and memberships sell."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Interview your owners on how much micromanaging they intend on doing. Read your contract , especially the hours portion.Refuse to sign a non-compete."
What don't you like about working at Hand & Stone Massage Spa?
"The owners are trained to put you down for every aspect of your job. They Video and Audio listen to everything you say. Micromanagement to an uncomfortable level. Never telling you you have done a good job. Unrealistic expectations of conversion rate. Threaten to clean house over numbers. Very low pay. Withhold bonus over numbers ."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Double up on your spa associates and make one shift manager for each shift covered."

"Working with co-workers and clients. Creating advertisements to bring in more customers. The professional atmosphere and spa workplace. Experiencing a busy and growing spa."

"Be prepared to do a lot of work for your position. If you like sales go for it. Be prepared to work on all major holidays and weekends."
What don't you like about working at Hand & Stone Massage Spa?
"I was stressed out dealing with co-workers. At the end of the day the cash drawer was never correct. Staff was consistently stressed out and there was always a client breaking the rules. I became withdrawn since I did not want to become involved with co-workers personal drama. At times I did not want to push products on customers that were not interested. This caused tension between the manager and myself."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have better communication between offices. An informed training session for new employees and information that is readily available to reference. Work with employees who have lower sales before reporting them. Be less tolerant of clients that want to take advantage of workers."
