"Sometimes hard to move to another position."

"Alcatel USA. I liked traveling and designing the spec package for Alcatel Network Equipment to be installed into CO Locations eastern region."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would say that they would need very, very good customer and people relation skills. I would say 90% of this job is getting and forming good relationship skills with the various RBOC Central Office Engineers at all Verizon locations worked in. I would also advise to have good technical skills as well."

What don't you like about working at GTE Corp.?

"I did not enjoy the way management handled some of the ways the detail design engineer had to complete certain aspects of there spec package. Pictures and C.O. location of equipment had to be better documented in order for a timely installation. Needed to have C.O.E. onsite mark our location."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I liked management and feel I would not have a suggestion, people that I worked for were very good."

"I was good at it and I enjoyed working with my counterparts."

"Purchased by Verizon."

"A tremedous experience! One gets a true sense of comradery and a sense of belonging."

"Enviroment, management, and the coffee shop on the ground floor."

"Keep an open mind, just because you don't have the exact skills doesn't mean you're not a good fit. GTE invests and is willing to develope their employees."

"The pay was slightly lower than average."

"Keep doing what you're doing"

"Pretty good place to work but too restricted due to military nature of the jobs."
