"I was in a small department (just myself and another artist) so creating ideas and getting feedback was comfortable."

"Many of our new ideas weren't accepted. I think mainly because they were afraid of change."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I wish they had been more openminded to new art and concepts"
What do you like about working at Lee Enterprises?
"My lead Online Specialist is such a delight to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better co-worker. His enthusiasm keeps me motivated! My company believes in me as an artist and allowed me to design the annual magazine by myself after I hadn't even been working there a whole year. Each month, I learn more about design and my work improves."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you do not know how to use Quark, do not look online for the tutorial. The tutorial online is for the latest version, which is not the version we have."
What don't you like about working at Lee Enterprises?
"I don't like working with Sales Reps who are procrastinators. They wait until last minute to give me work that is due in an hour, then nit pick, making me make around five proofs, which prevents me from being able to get other necessary work done."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"When my supervisor needs to explain how to do certain tasks, she talks down to us employees instead of talking us through it."

"It was a small, owner run business and he is great to work for"

"PC based and small office. Cramped enviornment but atmosphere was great"

"I don't have any. He did a great job of running his business"

"Working for Hypnotix was a fun, fantastic experience wherein I learned a lot."
What do you like about working at Hypnotix?
"Wonderful oppotunity wherein I learned a lot. I learn mainly on the job, and Hypnotix was a great place to do so."
What don't you like about working at Hypnotix?
"I was only there to freelance. There was no availabilty for me to advance. Once my work was completely, I was without a job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hypnotix was sold to EA Sports. It is no longer in opperation."

"I got to work with the programs that motivate me such as After Effects and Photoshop. Allowed a lot of use for creative freedom."

"Just show your passion to work as a team member. Very big team environment. A fun attitude is important."

"Strict working schedule. Too much wanting to control individual movements."

"I have topped out, and there is no room for advancement in the company."

"The only suggestion I would have is even though a small company of 20 people there needs to be more availability for growth in the career."

"Weekly paycheck and totally flexible hours. You can work any time as long as you get your work done."

"Nail down your salary and compensation BEFORE your first day of work."

"Owner does just enough for employees to be in compliance with labor laws. Paychecks have been delayed twice in the last 5 months with no explanation or apology. Owner has no vision for the company and is just waiting to retire. There is a decided lack of leadership. His father, who recently passed away, was the heart and soul of the business. The owner has a spoiled, privileged attitude like he is better than everyone else because he owns a business. I've owned a business before so he doesn't impress me."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would develop a worker handbook with specifics like how many sick days and vacation days each person gets. I would give a week's paid vacation after 6 months. I would pay people what they are worth based on the market salaries in Atl."
