2 Construction Supervisors from Fleming Foods submitted salaries.
Fleming Foods was a company that distributed food products to various retailers in the United States and Canada. The company's headquarters were located in Lewisville, Texas. Fleming Foods began in 1915 and was founded by O.A. Fleming, Samuel Lux and Gene Wilson. In the next few decades, the company would expand its operations, going public in 1959. At its height, Fleming was the largest supplier of packaged food products and served around 50,000 retail locations, such as supermarkets, convenience stores, specialty stores, military commissaries and more.
Fleming filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection in 2003, as a result of financial trouble that was brought on by an SEC investigation into dubious accounting and business practices. The company was also the target of a lawsuit by shareholders who alleged that it made false statements. As a result of this, stock prices plunged. In 2004, the company was reorganized and a new company, called Core-Mark Holding Company Inc. emerged after the Fleming bankruptcy.
As Fleming Foods has ceased operations following the bankruptcy, the company no longer operates under that name. However, there are numerous career opportunities with Core-Mark, the successor company, which employs over 10,000 people in North America. Core-Mark offers its workers a progressive and growth oriented working environment, medical, dental, vision and health insurance, 401(K) plan with employer matching contributions and tuition reimbursement.
Construction Supervisor is the highest paying job at Fleming Foods at $57,000 annually.
