"The only issue was that Morgan at that time required me to sell a specific line of products without letting me define the needs of the clients to then match the best product."

"Management did a good job of staying involved in their employees' businesses. To continue to stay involved is the best advice."

"The high level of interaction and relationships built with my clients/prospects over the years. I enjoyed the challenging environment and the thrill of closing new business."

"The best tip is to express your ability to be a hard worker that will push their limits in order to be successful in a very difficult industry. Also, having the ability to be a fast learner with great personal skills."

What don't you like about working at Merrill Lynch?

"There was nothing in particular about Merrill Lynch that I disliked, rather it was the industry as a whole. The financial world has been refaced and has experienced major consolidation in regards to years of false profits."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management at this point in time is in a waiting period based on the slow integration of the corporate cultures. They only need to stay involved in the support of their employees if and when needed."

"Prudential Securities offered me an incredible opportunity to work in the financial services industry and learn from very knowledgeable professionals."

"My timing for working in the financial services industry as a stock broker was horrible. I loved the job, but was not making enough money to support my family and the outlook was not encouraging."

"Their work environment was too stressful. There was less of an emphasis placed on helping people and businesses and more on selling proprietary products which may not have been suitable for what the client was looking for."

"Develop a culture that emphasizes clients first, conducive work environment second, and a financial reward structure that is not so top-heavy."
