"Be prepared to learn more than you ever have in the past regardless of your experience in the industry. Ive seen guys hired with 20 yrs exp that know less than a guy thats been here less than six months. Again, Be prepaired to study and learn"

"Being out late taking care of customers and having to attend training meetings."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"It would be great to have two shifts but that would probably mean less opportunity for everybody which would result in more overhaed and less pay for everyone."

"Some customer homes were not always clean. I disliked sometimes dealing with insects and rodents."

"Be ready to work hard in all weather and you must be okay with people and their differing lifestyles."

"All cultures are different, and while I love learning new things and talking to new people, being in people's homes can be unnerving."

"The system is the most important structure to the company, if not taken care of probably will then rot and decay and destroy the reputation it took so much time to build."

"have a strong hydraulic back ground along with computer skill with PLC"

"lack of communication and understanding of there positions and how to motivate there employees"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"better training of management and to communication with employees better as to what is expected and goals"
What do you like about working at Ericsson?
"Nothing. Constant management shuffles, Ericsson will hire an outsourced foreign worker before considering a U.S. citizen."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't expect much. In a company of over 90,000 people you are just a number. In fact if you can avoid it, don't even apply. All projects last only a certain time and once they're up you have to find another project to work on, no matter where it is."
What don't you like about working at Ericsson?
"Technicians are treated as a necessary evil. Very low morale. Workforce is motivated by watching them lay off skilled people who don't fit their dumbed down idea of a technician or engineer. They do not want techs taking ownership of their work. A just close the work ticket mentality runs rampant throughout management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They need to throw their whole European business concept out and start from scratch. It's not working here."
