"Fastenal is a good family friendly company. Its just unfortunate that they are experiencing fall in demand for their construction products."

What don't you like about working at Fastenal?

"Different developing teams use different coding practices. There are teams with very good coding practices and some with not-so-good practices. If they had common coding system it would be better."

"The autonomy of running the branch as I saw fit. The group of people whom I became close working partners with."

"I was a General Manager @ Fastenal. What I enjoyed most about the position as I was given the entitlement to run the business as it was my own business."

"Only do so as a last resort!"

"Pay. Corporate was always looking for ways to 'ding' your pay whether it was through collections of accounts or inventory or days out etc..."

"PAY your people. That was Fastenals biggest draw back. People kept leaving, it was a revolving door as retention of key personnel held back the branches from ever flourishing"
