Estes Express Lines Employee

"I worked for Estes for 16+ years and found them to be a well-run, highly regarded transportation organization. Being family-owned and union-free in a largely union-based industry has allowed Estes to take advantage of many opportunities for growth and to set themselves apart in their markets. They are a good company to work for and they treat their folks as equals, not as pions."

"As long as you're in good with the terminal manager you will be treated great. Some employees who have been here for years will be let go because of a minor technicality but if you are caught stealing merchandise, always late and have a criminal background, the manager will back you up because of nepotism."

"Estes Express does not give the impression of a company that is prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. There is no employee performance review process, so poor performance is not handled well (if at all). People are leaving in droves. The corporate headquarters is old and depressing."
