"it was a sinking ship when I boarded and filed soon after"

What do you like about working at F.E. Moran?
"I like the part of my job that is watching out for real life emergencies that could impact the people we monitor. The main basis and responsibilities of the job are right up my alley."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared to feel inadequate by your co-workers but appreciated by the customers whose lives and property you protect and save. When the system works, you feel amazing and like you make a difference in the world. I receive more customer compliments than any positive feedback from management. They are extremely busy and overwhelmed, so try not to need anything."
What don't you like about working at F.E. Moran?
"The co-workers WILL email your boss to specifically get you in trouble and make you feel worthless, even if its a minor screw-up i.e. going to the restroom, transfering to the wrong dept OR emailing the wrong Joe when there are 7 of them in the same office. if you miss an hour or more due to illness, even if you bring a doctor's note to prove where you were, you are significantly cut down."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Not be rude when asked for help. I would speak to people like they do actually have feelings and realize that I need to change my tone or attitude for different employees. I would definitely not cut someone down in front of everyone else. I would also utilize the employees I have for various projects and not take on everything myself and expect sympathy. I would empathize with my employees."

"My boss did not listen to me and HR did not help me."

"To listen to the little man not just management because we are important too."

"well since they went out of business it wouldn't be possible, but I would say make sure you're ready to be stressed out and stare at a computer all day"

"understaffed, which made it difficult to keep all standing accounts satisfied"

"There were a lot of different ways they could have saved money, and more things they could have done to encourage employees"

"Poor management, constant complaints from co-workers, and very poor morale for most employees."

"Think carefully before you continue. If you need a job and have thick, very thick skin, take it. Work there while looking for another position."

"Management does not care about the employees. Employees are viewed as disposable. HR department is weak and offers no support to the employees. Managers tend to use 50's style leadership."

"Replace them. They will end up getting the company in trouble for violating some sort of labor law or creating a hostile work environment."

"Hire a new boss to fire everyone so I resigned ahead of time."

"Figure out a way to stop the tremendous turn over."

"The maintence department had to stay on the to get the trucks going abd keep them up to dot regulations"

"The company doesnt exist anymore the owner died in 1992 and the family did away with the company and sold off everything"

"There was plenty of work and overtime and money to be made"

"You probably wont start out as a dispatcher but will have to work you way up throught the order desk."

"The 15-16 hour days and the drive for me I was driving 100 miles daily"

"Bring in more dispatch help to stop dispacher burn out"

"There was always something different every day with the customers."

"You need to make sure the drivers are happy, and try not to fight with them."

"I disliked the fact that the drivers would get mad and yell at us."

"Have the drivers try not to get so mad at the dispatchers."

"The research that goes into doing my job. Keeping employees and vendors happy."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't settle for a lower salary than you can live off of in hopes of getting a quick raise after proving yourself. Raises are promised monthly but really only happen if the company has extra money to throw around every now and then."
What don't you like about working at FTSI?
"The managers don't care about employees but are focused fully on making money. They don't understand that the employees who work the front line may have some of the best money-saving ideas and are the real face of the company. If they constantly aggravate the employees, those same employees don't spread a positive image about the company, nor are they likely to recruit others to come to work for the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Care about the employees. People don't care how much their boss knows until they know how much the boss cares. Treat people as they would like to be treated."
