"Because of its size and tight-knit environment, issues were addressed very quickly, the organization has limited levels of management and is very nimble responding to customer or project issues."

What don't you like about working at Hess?

"Again, because of its size, and a necessary focus on cost control, the available resource pool was sometimes limited. Conflicts in priorities were common, and tempers were often short."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Because the company and its products technically based, and the whole project execution process begins with engineering, it is critical that the design and development process be carefully controlled."
