"The Freedom Group now owns this company. The 401K was gone after bankruptsey."

"company downsized and closed multiple locations, many talented people were laid off"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management was laying off the highest paid, most experienced engineers, therefore the history of MFS design projects was less known."

"this company has offices in 60 locations, however there is not a process to relocate for career development"

"being contracted in to the work place never provided enough company/career pathway to completion"

"allow for transferring between offices/projects as workload demands. this could help to retain associates"

"New wiring schematics in Pro-Engineer, ECN's and ECO's for the new T680 truck."

"I was a short term contract assignment, I knew my termination date when I was hired in."
What don't you like about working at PACCAR?
"To far from home had to drive 130 miles round trip."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"PACCAR has mad a profit every year for the last 25 years. The CEO must be doing something right."
What do you like about working at Grafton Staffing?
"It was a temp agency. As temp agencies go, I guess it was about status quo. I didn't work there, I was a temp and I worked for Black and Veatch, which was more collaborative - which is what I like."

"Be realistic about temporary agencies. It seems like once you start working temporary agencies, you're stuck working temporary jobs."
What don't you like about working at Grafton Staffing?
"It was a temporary agency. No benefits. No safety nets. Nothing you want to retire from. A temporary agency."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Well, it would have been nice to not lay off almost 40 contingency workers, and then their regular staff (and I'm speaking of Black & Veatch here, rather than Grafton). I don't know as I could have done any better or differently than either Grafton or Black & Veatch. Those were extraordinary times."

"The people I work with are nice, and usually helpful."

"Be ready to play politics to get anything accomplished here."

"Management is uncommunicative and there is little or no room for promotion."

"I would encourage management to share more information about the future plans of the company with their teams."

"I would suggest hiring people in other engineering feilds, such as mechanical engineers."

"The communication of ideas is terrible. There are major gaps. Also lots of secrets and lies."

"Contract engineering are there to work only and provide leadership on the team."

"Family-owned, nice facility, some coworkers are friendly, like what I do."

"It is a generally stable company, and could be a right fit for some people."

"We are either fully micro managed or our boss is no where to be found. Too afraid to ask questions as sometimes superiors make us feel utterly incompetent but it's really that we were not allowed training or collaboration time."

"More collaboration, more training time allowed, less time feeling afraid to ask my supervisor a question."

"The design aspect of the job. I get to create fun illustrations and other things like that."

"Know that if you're going to work here, it's for the long haul if you want to get anything good out of the job. There is no quick hire, it's contract to hire over an extended time."

"There's not enough freedom with my work and most of it is reactionary. There isn't a moment of pure exploration; it's always towards a goal that will be un-fulfilled and eventually turned into lost time."

"I'd create a more collaborative work-space where people can actually discuss and concept ideas."

"They are a nice place to start off but you wil go no where in the company so start looking for a new job right away."

"The lead designer would take forever to talk to if you had one little question."

"To make the requests clear on what they want and don't be offended if someone has a better idea than they do."
