"No, not really, the plant closed and all management that made this move has been fired for making this move."

What don't you like about working at Covidien?

"Well, the job was a rotating 12 hour shift, and the fact that the plant closed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't sell the number 1 producing plant in your entire operation because some logistic engineer says it is a good idea."

What do you like about working at Covidien?

"I liked working with the organizations that wanted to succeed and grow, specifically the R&D, Porfolio and Strategy organization along with Marketing for my specific division. There was an alignment of what needed to be done and we were able to work globally with our counterparts to be in alignment."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Exhibit signs of leadership and ability to grow, but be comfortable with a maintaining culture."

What don't you like about working at Covidien?

"The culture is of a medical device company, which is slow in adoption of new systems and technologies. It is also a hierarchical culture, which requires countless reviews and approvals by senior level executives which was a minimum of 8 to 12, which slowed down the process. Often the market is changing and waiting for a unanimous decision by leadership is a detriment to people's innovativeness and team dynamics."

What don't you like about working at Covidien?

"Company buys companies and cut nearly everyone. So you have a product with no knowledge of how it works. I think this method works against progress."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management to keep a core team from companies that they buy. So the product can continue to move forward."
