What don't you like about working at Computer Associates?

"Outsourcing to partner the technical engineer. Right now I'm trying to work again with CA Technologies but their technical department is limited."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My recommendation for the CA management, try to support people, like me, certificated in CA Solution to work in CA Technologies. I've been doing so many trainings with them and done so many certifications and I need support from them."

"Occasionally their business practices weren't professional. However this was an important message that assisted with future customers."

"Learning a lot and helping out others, even if most of the time it was management, not direct end users."

"The times I had to come in on days off, but still did since it was important."

"Listen to those under you and try to shield them from above."

What do you like about working at Computer Associates?

"Obtained a great wealth of knowledge in IT software sales experience. I was specialized in IT security and data/back up and recovery software. Also training on Channel partner sales as well. CA was very big on training and always had on-going training and certifications that all sales personnel were required to achieve during tenure. Their goal was to make you an expert in your product/program core areas."

What don't you like about working at Computer Associates?

"They were a great company to work for but they were not as competitive in salaries and compensation as other competitors in the same market space."

"The co-workers worked as a team and often times felt like a family creating an enjoyable work place."

"Currently the Sarasota office is closed and it was quite some time ago I was employed with them so unsure what I can advise."

"Management seemed disconnected from the validation department and somewhat showed bias towards the programmers."

"The need to get more involved with the Validation/Quality Assurance team so their needs can be better achieved."

"Stop changing everything year after year after year. Once a sales person works a territory for a year, that territory should not be changed the following year."

"They are willing to advance you in your career every year if your performance warrants."

"The company would restructure every April and you were never certain were you would end up."

"With new CEO from IBM there are great changes happening and I expect that clients will begin to trust and be loyal and the company will treat all clients fairly."

"Treat clients as you would expect to be treated - it's not just about making money, but about your reputation."

"The compensation package, benefits and the products."

"Anything in call center do not plan for the long term!"

"Disconnect between management and employees."

"Be more realistic in regards to results for each territory and time of year. Be more flexible in regards to time off."
