"The management is horrible and the field tech are treated like they are disposable."

"I enjoyed the colleagues I worked with at Lucent Technologies. The work itself was interesting and very physical, and it allowed me to learn a lot about the telecommunications industry."

"Yes--be prepared to be laid-off due to the company's constant need to downsize. It is only about saving money and the stock price, and not about taking care of the customer. This view as you know will get you nowhere!"
What don't you like about working at Alcatel-Lucent?
"I was unhappy that they laid me off, primarily because of corporate's decision to outsource labor that was once performed by my fellow associates and I."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Place faith in the quality and training you've instilled in your employees, and work with them and the labor union to cut costs. After all, we see the waste that occurs and have great ideas on how to save money if you are only willing to listen!"

"I liked getting a lot of overtime and meeting new people."

"The amount of work was very high and at times it was stressful trying to keep up with the demand. Being on-call at night was also rough."

"Pay employee's more money per hour and manage the work load better so that tech can spend some time at home once in a while."

"Too much politcs. Not enough empasis on the good work that was done. Didn't feel appreciated."

"Apogen Technologies Inc. at Department of Homeland Security in Springfield, VA needs a whole new group of Professional Managers, the President of the United States of America would be very amazed! at whats really going on down there. I guess because is small they figure no one will find out the things they are doing and the way they are treating human beings down there, and because job opportunities are few people are afraid to speak out."

"Department of Homeland Security needs to do a whole sweep of this site. God Bless anyone who is still there."

What do you like about working at Comcast?
"Everyday was different. I gained experience with installing cable and high speed internet. I was introduced to gateways, router etc. I was installing networks for homes and small businesses. And I also liked that it was a respectable job."

"Be confident"
What don't you like about working at Comcast?
"The demand would be too intense at times for example it could be pouring rain outside and your supervisor and the customer still expects you to finish the install when clearly the rain poses a saftey hazard"

"Value your subordinates more"

"Verizon provided all tools and equipment needed to perform the work needed."

"It is a great place to work, and is definitely worth the time."

"The customer service can be a bit slow at times."
