"Hard one to answer - not really much in the way of great things to compliment."

"Go into this job with eyes open. This is a place you can work for the time being until a better job comes along, but not a place to have a career."
What don't you like about working at Alliance United Insurance?
"Senior Management is out of touch with what is going on with the worker bees. Lack of knowledge from Managers and Management. Expectations continually change without warning or reason. The worst part - you can not trust anyone, especially upper management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Claims Manager - will you consider some classes or training to improve both your technical knowledge and people skills. VP claims - will you please look around and try to see what is happening in the company and do something to make it better Will you try to build some trust with your employees by doing the right thing"

"The salary which is competitive. That would be about it"

"If you know how to 'play the game', then you will have an advantage even if you're a mediocre performer. If you're an honest, well-meaning, hardworking employee, then you may have a problem."
What don't you like about working at Travelers?
"Office politics and nepotism-like promoting system (friends of management are offered opportunities over other employees) / Employment reviews on paper are not necessarily what's archived internally / Horrendous training program / Little and inconsistent coaching and performance feedback / Consistently high stress and unhealthy working environment / Zero support and understanding from management / Possible labour law violations (many employees do not or are unable to take required breaks or lunches due to workload and management turns a blind eye to this).Young, college graduates are always offered opportunities for advancement and training over more seasoned employees (employees over 40) even if the young employee's performance is marginal or obviously inadequate."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Regardless of high volume periods, new hires and newer employees still need to be provided adequate training and coaching. Management has consistently failed in this area creating a much higher level of despair and stress for performance struggling employees. Employees need a detailed monthly feedback session to tackle potential issues head-on which does not occur. Communication between middle management and staff needs to improve dramatically. Too many employees are suffering unnecessarily but are afraid to address issues for fear of retaliation. The behavior of management in this operation needs to be monitored more closely by home office to address possible labour law violations and overall treatment of it's employees."

"You should google Alliance United Insurance Reviews and see if this is truly the type of place you want to work at."

"Management is incompetent and totally lacks basic management skills. They lack technical claims knowledge also."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Senior company management should have an anonymous employee review of the claims managment. Currently, claims management reviews any employee feedback about claims management. Retaliation is rampant on this."

"Nothing. I knew it was a mistake within 3 weeks."

"LEAVE IN ORDER TO RETAIN YOUR HAPPINESS AND YOUR FAMILIES."

"Hands down most corrupt, backbiting, unprofessional place I ever experienced."

"I would hire a better qualified supervisor to run department."

"I could only suggest that the management get rid of the peer norm and quality."

"Ask about the people you are working for and how long they've been with the company"

"The company was in a state of transisition and my supervisor left during my time and his supervisor was fired"

"Hopefully at this time they became more organized and thus treat their employees better"

"The people, the people at the company; where great to work for and great teams."

"Great temporary job, not good for long term. Also, be careful and expressing opinions."
What don't you like about working at Protective Life?
"The company's management and hierarchy. Management not willing to listen to new ideas."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestions would be to acknowledge their employees. Quit using scapegoats, and stand up to the challenges."
What do you like about working at Farmers?
"Employees are good for the most part. A lot of things change and there is some progress there. Flex hours are important."

"Try to work on special projects as that is the only way you will maintain sanity. Claims are for zombies."
What don't you like about working at Farmers?
"Jobs are boring and repetitive. Middle management isn't where I would want to go and is the only direction that they push you in. Nobody talks to each other and each department works within their own silo. It is inefficient and a lot of times overly challenging. The way they measure goals isn't even close to being accurate or fair."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Put more resources into technology. Technology is way behind. Claims could be much more automated and less costly. I would also get rid of a lot of middle management."
What do you like about working at Nationwide Insurance?
"I liked the flexibility of working from home on occasions, and time off."

"Don't take a job here unless you want to stuck in a dead end job"
What don't you like about working at Nationwide Insurance?
"Management was lacking direction, unreasonable and awful. They made the last year of work very difficult with unnecessary changes. There was no consistency in management."

"Ask the people doing the work how to make things better, internal customer service."

"I work 7 days a week and would like some paid time off."

"A little less micro managing and more hands on managing."

"I enjoyed the strong commitment to handling our work responsibly and ethically. To be able to pay claims fairly and to try cases only when there was serious merit."

"Come prepared, the insurance world is aging and as a result there are many very experienced adjusters out there."

"The opportunities for upward mobility were not immediately clear in my own office, but this is not unusual in the insurance industry."

"That upper management be committed to honoring the reasonable and appropriate decisions of middle management."
