"I've worked for CGI for a few months and found the team to be very fun to work with and very intelligent. Lots of great initiatives in the pipeline and plenty of good work going on. Laid-back atmosphere and a good work-life balance."

"CGI acquired Stanley Associates in an attempt to buy into the DOD business in the US. Over the following 4 years the office I worked out of saw a 14% turnover rate, a loss of just about every perk the office had and a management structure that resembled a square dance based on how often folks moved around, re-organized or just left. I personally had 4 different project managers on my contract over a 3 year period; even the client started complaining.Office morale is also in the toilet."

"I expected more from a 30 year old company that has numerous US Federal contracts. They have no new hire training plan. No documentation on process or procedure, no documentation on systems, customers or infrastructure. The management demoralizes the employees and threatens to fire you if something goes wrong. The culture expects work 7 days a week and nights. They threatened to fire me because I couldn't make a evening meeting that CGI gave me 24 hours notice that I needed to attend."

"CGI Federal is enjoyable in some respects, however I would like to experience more technical expertise and be able to grow more as a developer than what they have available."

"Kangaroo promotions in all overseas operations. It is not what you know, it is who you know. Our project manager has nothing more than a high school education and no certifications while the staff is required to have a degree and/or certification."
