"I've worked at Caterpillar for 6 years now. Three years as an IT tech intern and another three years on the GIS support desk. It's the world's largest tractor company and I'm glad to have worked in an enterprise environment for so long."
"The answer for my relationship with my supervisor was with my service manager and not the branch manager. The branch manager at the Mason City branch I'd rather not comment on.The company is based out of Minneapolis and the company as a whole is a good company, except the branch manager at Mason City."
"I liker Caterpillar culture and people."
"Nice place to work. I really felt great beginning my professional career with this company."
"I have worked for Caterpillar for about 4 years and I have been involved in many interesting projects, in developing engine components. I worked with great engineers and have been lucky to have good management. It is a good company that gives you a very wide range of activities to work on. You can definitely find your preferred type of activity within the company."

"I've worked at Lovat Inc., where they make tbm machines to drill tunnel. They have mostly trained me on cnc lathe.I've worked both shifts and overall they have kept up with new technology in the machine shop"
"Caterpillar is a great company with great benefits and lots of wonderful people. I like to think that the experience I had at the North Little Rock facility is an outlier stemming from inexperienced management and a far-flung location. Should I ever have another opportunity to rejoin CAT, I would likely take it."
"Ziegler Cat. was a wonderful place to work. When I moved from the field into the shop the job description changed."
"I have worked at Caterpillar for two years through an agency. Workers at Caterpillar can expect to work with some leading edge technologies. The sheer scale of Caterpillar products can be awe-inspiring. Caterpillar can be quite aggressive at keeping salaries low. Caterpillar also has issues with internal communication at times, but that might be unavoidable in a corporation of Caterpillar's size."
"I am currently working in Caterpillar as a Quality Engineer for Large Power System Division (LPSD). I am an industrial Engineer and I am glad that my knowledge is being utilized."
"Railroad Maintenance of Way equipment manufacturer."
"I love the position but it does not allow for advancement. This is an 800 billion dollar company and training within is done by people that are employees, and that training is not specialized enough for some of the positions that are filled. Some of the employees want a union and for myself I do not agree. I have left the position because of the way some are advanced and good positions are filled."
"Caterpillar Global Mining is focused on delivering high quality, low total cost of ownership products to its mining customers. They listen to the needs of the customer and continuously improve their products. Their dealer network is excellent at supporting the customer needs."
